The Jets in a impressive preseason with a 2-1-1 record. But they end the preseason with some tough losses, not on the win/lose column, but in the injury report. Shaun Ellis, a AFC pro-bowler for the Jets last season went down with a broken tailbone, witch will end his season, more than likely end his career with the Jets, and probably end his career all together. Shaun Ellis the 10 year pro out of Tennessee had a lot of teaching to do for opposite end DE Vernon Gholston who has struggled his whole career with the Jets. Also the Jets were hit hard, one of their playmakers and wildcat specialist Brad Smith went down with a fractured elbow, he is listed as out for the season.
Second string right guard Robert Turner also went down with a injury, and is listed to be out 8 more weeks with his Fractured Foot.
Week 1 is next week vs Baltimore, which places Rex Ryan vs his old team the Ravens, and the battle of the future at QB, Joe Flacco of Baltimore, and Mark Sanchez of New York. See you in New York, as the Jets are home to christen their first appearance in their new home, should be a good one.
