Jets defend their home with HONOR 45-42

It was a barn burner and one hell of a game in New York Monday night, but the New York Jets were finally able to pull through for the hometown fans. Mark Sanchez and Joe Flacco both had their best career games. Mark Sanchez threw for 470 Yards, 6 TD's and 1 INT and compiling a passer rating of 131.9. The 2nd year man out of USC wowed fans and critics alike, as the berth of a future start may have just been born. Pass after pass to his favorite target Dustin Keller made the two seem almost unstoppable.

The Jets pass defense is going to have to beef it up if they plan on defeating the Patriots next week, but at least we know our offense can pass on one of the best defenses in the AFC if not the best in the NFL. Game MVP Mark Sanchez told game reporters afterwards, "That if we plan on going back to the AFC Championship this season, I am going to have to have more games like this one. I felt in the zone, I was ready for each play, and I felt that the offensive coordinators always kept me in the best situations to make the plays. They always called the best plays and that's why I felt hardly any pressure on that last drive to take the late lead."

Coach Rex Ryan said with his meeting with reporters, "That with my legacy that I left in Baltimore and the one I am creating in here in New York has always been about defense, that is why I am fairly surprised that this was a offensive showdown. But our man got us the victory, so we will take it"

Week 1's players of the week

Offensive- Mark Sanchez{NYJ} 27 of 42 for 470 yards 6 TD
Defensive- Kirk Morrison{JAX} 3 Tackles 2 INTs 1 Forced Fumble

See you next week against our bitter rivals, those dang Patriots. Hope we SOCK IT TO THEM!!
